Overview
Jack joined Albion Chambers in July 2022 having previously practised at other Bristol chambers.
Following a Common Law Pupillage, Jack has undertaken a wide-range of work including Crime and Employment Law.
He now specialises in Matrimonial Finance and Private Law. He also takes instructions in respect of cases involving Schedule 1 applications and the application of TOLATA within Matrimonial Finance. In Private Law, he has dealt with all stages of proceedings including fact-finding hearings. He has represented parties in cases involving Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders, Occupation Orders and Non-Molestation Orders. In Matrimonial Finance, he has dealt with cases involving pre and post-nuptial agreements, as well as the division of foreign assets involving international Trusts.
Jack is an avid sportsperson and a Trustee in the Charity: “Alliance of Sport”. The Charity is dedicated to reducing recidivism through promoting sport amongst individuals who have been convicted of crimes.

Matrimonial Finance
Jack is regularly instructed in Matrimonial Finance and he has represented clients at all stages of proceedings.
Notable Cases:
- W v W v W – Jack represented an Intervener in a dispute as to whether an investment property was properly a matrimonial asset which could be divided. Jack successfully argued that the Intervener had complete beneficial and legal interest in the investment property and he was able to obtain costs on behalf of his client.
- S v S – Jack represented a wife in a matter where the matrimonial assets included a foreign pension. Jack was able to analyse how that foreign pension should properly be dealt with by the Court utilising offsetting principles.
- B v B – This matter concerned the relevance of international assets and foreign trusts which involved arguments in respect of whether they could be considered part of the parties resources or would be, alternatively, non-marital assets.
- S v S – This matter concerned the division of two property assets and the application of Radmacher in respect of a post-marital agreement. The case involved arguments relating to duress and/or undue pressure as to the circumstances of the agreement and Jack was able to ensure that the property was divided in favour of his client.”

Child Law Private
Notable Cases:
- Re G – Jack was successful in arguing that the Court should make a suspended transfer of residence order on the basis that the other party had repeatedly failed to comply with Court orders for contact. He was also successful in obtaining a wasted costs order on the basis of unreasonable litigation conduct by the other side.
- L v L – Jack represented a respondent in an application for a non-molestation order and occupation order. Jack challenged the allegations made by the applicant and he was successful in ensuring that the respondent was not removed from the property.
- Re E – Jack was successful in arguing that the child should be removed from the jurisdiction and placed with his client. This case involved competing live with order applications including an application from the child’s Grandparents.
- Re Z – Jack represented a client in a multi-day fact-finding hearing involving multiple interpreters in both Bengali and Urdu. He was successful in proving his client’s allegations relating to sexual abuse, controlling and coercive behaviour, financial manipulation and deliberate attempts at suppressing his client’s ability to speak English.
