Hazel is undertaking a specialist pupillage in Matrimonial Finance under the supervision of Jonathan Stanniland and Gemma Borkowski.

During pupillage, Hazel has encountered a multitude of matrimonial finance cases having spent time with each member of the team ranging from complex farming cases involving multiple intervenors to a post-separation lottery win.

Prior to pupillage, Hazel developed her advocacy experience working for Quest Legal Advocates and ELMS Legal as a county court advocate in small claims trials, contract disputes, and personal injury matters. Hazel has experience supporting vulnerable clients appearing in person at the Family Court having spent time volunteering for the Personal Support Unit at the Bristol CJC. Hazel has also undertaken training as a Civil and Commercial Mediator and has developed strong skills in negotiation as a result.
