Practice:
Ed Burgess is a specialist in criminal law: defence and prosecution, and is a CPS panel advocate level 4 prosecutor.

His practice has developed a particular emphasis on Homicide and serious violence, serious sexual offences, fraud and large-scale supply of drugs.
He has recognised expertise in dealing with young and vulnerable defendants and witnesses.

Before joining the Bar, Ed worked in community mental health in London and Bristol. In 1996/7, he was a full-time senior lecturer on the Bar Vocational Course at the University of the West of England. He has also lectured at Western Circuit CPD training courses.
