Practice:
Ed Burgess practises exclusively in criminal law, prosecuting and defending. He is a CPS grade 4 prosecutor.
His practice covers all offences in the criminal calendar, including homicide, but in particular, cases involving the most serious sexual offences, serious fraud and drug supply. He has recognised expertise in dealing with young and vulnerable defendants and witnesses.
Before joining the Bar, Ed worked in community mental health in London and Bristol. In 1996/7, he was a full-time senior lecturer on the Bar Vocational Course at the University of the West of England. He has also lectured at Western Circuit CPD training courses.

Junior Counsel for the second defendant (Michael Fitton QC leading) in a three-defendant case of false imprisonment, torture and alleged murder;
