Practice:
During his 15 years of experience as a criminal advocate, Alan Fuller has developed a specialisation in a number of areas within regulatory crime. These fields broadly cover trading standards, health and safety, food safety, health, social care, education and licensing. He has built on his extensive experience in the criminal courts to provide an expert advisory and advocacy service tailored to the needs of those working in these areas. He frequently acts for local authorities and regulatory bodies responsible for overseeing and enforcing this legislation.
He continues to prosecute and defend in the areas of financial and ‘white-collar’ crime.
Alan has considerable experience in complex benefit fraud cases, in particular prosecuting on a regular basis for local authorities and the Department for Work and Pensions. In addition, he conducts complicated confiscation proceedings under the Criminal Justice and Proceeds of Crime Acts. Many of these cases are associated with his benefit fraud and trading standards work.
